"Change your thought, world will change!". Really?

Updated: Nov 29, 2023

While there are techniques derived from ancient knowledge in the search for a fulfilling and joyful life, there are also current techniques.

Are current techniques really up to date? Do we give different names to what humanity has accumulated since the beginning? It is not possible to know this. However, when we go back, old printed books, old words, and solutions from old cultures can also shed light on us.

For example, when Christian D. Larson wrote his book "Just be Glad" in 1912, how far was he from our current search for happiness? Today we are talking about many techniques such as Ho'oponopono, Quantum Thought Techniques, The Secret, EFT. Will they be completely lost in a hundred years or will they change names?

In fact, everything comes down to the understanding that everything begins and ends with thought.

That is the sentence we are hearing from all models of a better life: "Change your thought, world will change!". At this point, all the people hear this sentence have two questions:

1 - Really?

2 - If yes, how?

Main habit of most of the people living in the world is "thinking and trying to find a way for current problems". This thinking and finding an alternative way uses current experience connections of our minds.

As Einstein said: “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” If a mind sees the world as it must not be in that way, how that mind will be convinced about change? Answer of this question will be the answer of the first question: "Really?" of the person hears "Change your thought, world will change!" sentence.

Of course subject experts, idea leaders, related psychologists are trying to answer the "Really?" question with with actual stories and experiences. They write books and articles, organize seminars and provide training but It seems that no real success has been achieved in persuasion. If it were not so, hundreds of different books, articles and seminars about the reality of a view that can be summarized as the world will change with the change of thought would not be constantly consumed by the same people.

Many people around me, including me, the consultants I follow, and famous people interested in the subject, constantly devote time and resources to searching for resources containing different expressions of the same subject, consuming them, applying them to life and somehow improving life.

It looks like we haven't gotten past the first question yet: "Really?"
